Holiday checklist. Hooray you’re going on holiday but there’s so much to do! Here are some useful checklists to help your planning easier.

Before you go remember to:

Cancel the milk

Cancel any newspaper deliveries

Turn off all appliances (except the fridge!) and unplug

Turn off central heating and/or hot water heating

It’s useful to have a timer switch on a lamp that comes on of an evening – it will make people think you’re at home!

Empty the fridge!

Lock all windows and doors

If you’re holidaying during the winter remember to turn your water off at the mains in case your pipes freeze.

Make arrangements for pets to be taken care of.

Weigh your suitcases to make sure you don’t exceed
any baggage allowances

Ask a trusted neighbour or friend to remove your
post and free newspapers regularly. If you have a
house alarm, ensure that they also have the details
of your alarm company if necessary

Check whether you need any special vaccinations to travel to that destination
